Concordia-St. Paul Athletic Hall of Fame
Scott received his bachelor’s of science degree from Concordia in 1999 after being named the Male Athlete of the Year that spring season. In his career on the pitcher’s mound, Scott compiled a career 23-12 won-loss record in 259 innings pitched. The 23 wins was a record that Scott held alone until just two years ago. After his career at Concordia came to a close, he signed with the Texas Rangers organization and played one year of Class A baseball in Pulaski, Virginia. Scott has cultivated many relationships
along the way. He is supported by his wife, Kelli (Breimhorst), a 2001 Concordia graduate and former softball player (2000). Scott and Kelli have a one and a half year old daughter, Reece. Professionally, Scott has been working in the car sales industry for five years, currently at Murphy Warehouse as a dispatcher. His father was a firefighter and tragically died in a rescue in Scott’s youth. He was raised by his mother, who was his key support system along with his brothers, Brandon and Ryan. Her inspiration has been an example to of strength and character to the Hollingsworth brothers. “It’s not about what happens to you but how you react that matters.”
