He is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers to ever attend Concordia College, St. Paul. After transfering to CSP, Dave was the 1980 and 1981 National Championship in his weight class and was undefeated during both years. As a member of the soccer team, his powerful shots led the Comets to the conference championship, and he was voted Most Valuable Player.
