Carlander Field

Address for Directions:
235 Hamline Ave. N
St. Paul, MN 55104

Concordia University softball returned to campus in the spring of 2010 with the completion of Carlander Field. Located adjacent to Gangelhoff Center's west end, and directly to the north of neighbor Barnes Field (baseball), Carlander Field occupies the former home of Concordia soccer.

Carlander Field allows the Golden Bear sluggers to entertain crowds with a true home field advantage. The field was built with the generous assistance of the Richard and Lorraine Carlander family, great supporters of the University. Their donation not only allowed the construction of the softball field, but secured naming rights for the Carlander Family Concourse at Sea Foam Stadium.

Carlander Field is nestled in nicely on campus, and has portable bleacher seating close to the action. The right field foul pole lines up nicely with Gangelhoff Center's west wall, providing a large home run target for power hitters. In left field, home run hitters take aim at clearing not only the standard outfield fence but the taller fence that runs along Marshall Avenue.

Parking for Carlander Field is available in the main Gangelhoff Center lot, as well as on-street parking along Marshall Avenue (at your own risk!), and in the Sea Foam Stadium lot across the street.
