The all-time leader in tackles for the Golden Bear football team, Jordan Halverson is one of the most accomplished linebackers in program history.

After redshirting in the 2010 season, Halverson stepped into a prominent role in the CSP defense in 2011, appearing in 11 games and making five starts. In that season, he finished third on the team and 28th in the NSIC with 73 total tackles.

Halverson made a massive leap in 2012, starting all 11 games for the Golden Bears and averaging a team-leading 9.55 tackles per game, good for seventh in the NSIC and fifth among linebackers in the conference. He was named BSN Division II Player of the Week on September 8 for his 14-tackle performance and blocked kick against Minnesota Crookston. At season’s end, he earned All-NSIC South Division Second Team honors for the first time in his career.

Following an injury-shortened 2013 season, Halverson returned better than ever in 2014, setting a new Division II-era record with 108 tackles, fourth most in the NSIC. In an early October game against Wayne State, he set a career high with 16 total tackles. He also added 2.5 sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown during the season, earning All-NSIC Second Team honors once again for his efforts.

Halverson wrapped up his career with a strong senior campaign in 2015 as he led the team with 89 total tackles. He also tallied 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, 1 forced fumble, and one interception.

Halverson earned all three of his degrees from Concordia, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in 2015, Master of Arts in 2017, and Educational Specialist degree in 2023. His career in education began at Best Academy, where he served as a Physical and Health Education teacher, building strong relationships with students and helping foster a positive school culture.

He later joined Wayzata High School, where he spent six years as a Physical and Health Education teacher while also serving as the Defensive Coordinator for the football program. During his tenure, Halverson helped lead the Trojans to the 2019 Class 6A State Football Championship. In addition to football, he also coached 10th-grade basketball, continuing his passion for mentoring students both in and out of the classroom.

Halverson transitioned into school administration at Eden Prairie High School as an Administrative Dean before becoming Assistant Principal at West Middle School, where he served for two years. He currently serves as the proud Principal of Fridley Middle School, returning to lead in the same district that helped shape his own educational journey.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Jordan is most proud of his family. He and his wife, Kaliah, have been married for five years and are the proud parents of two children, Ziyah and Julian.
