A two-year starting quarterback after transferring to Concordia in 2005, Kole Goodchild is one of the most accomplished signal callers in the history of Golden Bear football.
Transferring to CSP from Iowa Central Community College in 2005, the West Bend, Iowa native redshirted his first season at Concordia before taking the reins in 2006 when he became the program’s starting quarterback for the next two seasons.
In the 2006 season, Goodchild made an immediate splash, throwing for 2,012 yards and 16 passing touchdowns against just 10 interceptions, while rushing for 267 yards and adding two touchdowns on the ground.
Goodchild took on even more responsibility in the Golden Bear offense in his senior season in 2007, completing 260 passes for a school-record 3,027 yards and 18 touchdowns and adding 137 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He had the top performance of his career on October 12, 2007 in a win over MSU Moorhead, when he completed 31 of his 46 passes for 433 passing yards and five touchdowns, earning National Offensive Player of the Week honors.
After earning a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Concordia in 2008, Goodchild went on to obtain his CPA. He has built a career leading finance and sales operations within the medical device industry, and currently serves as the Vice President of Finance at Sight Sciences, following leadership roles at Abbott and St. Jude Medical, where he has helped scale teams and drive strategic growth.
Goodchild and his wife, Tiffany, live in Stillwater, Minnesota, with their children, Maddie, Gabby, and Sam, and honor the memory of their son, Karter, who passed away in 2025. Goodchild also serves as a board member for the Kourageous Karter Foundation, a nonprofit founded by his wife, Tiffany, to support medically complex children and the people who love them.
