A Division I transfer from Marshall University, the Andover, Minnesota native (Andover HS) earned her degree from CSP in 2012 in education (physical education & health) after capturing three NCAA Division II championships as a two-time All-America First Team selection.

A player who could impact that game from any spot on the floor, (Carlson) Brown’s Golden Bear squads racked up a 103-6 overall record in her three years, winning 94.5 percent of their matches including postseason play and capturing wins in 58 of 60 NSIC matches to sweep three league championships.

Her first year as a Golden Bear couldn’t have been better as she produced an All-America Third Team season for a perfect team that went 37-0, winning the national title on their home floor for the second year in a row at Gangelhoff Center.

She resides in Mound, Minnesota with her husband, Seth, son Beckett (5), daughter Blakely (4) and dog Kaiya (8). She is currently a senior account manager at JL Buchanan, a retail consulting firm she has worked with for four and a half years. She remains active in volleyball as a coach for the Mound Co-Op High School boys’ program.
