Dave Johnson graduated from Concordia in 1998 and has become a business owner of Imperial Home Improvement where he also serves as a general contractor. His name can be found all over the Concordia baseball record books as he was a standout hitter and pitcher for the Comets from 1995 to 1998. He also led the Comets to a 1995 Upper Midwest Conference (UMAC) Championship and a 1997 UMAC Co-Championship.

Until the 2010 baseball season, Johnson held career records for games played (168), at bats (529), hits (178) and doubles (41).

At the time of his induction in 2010, the career .337 hitter still ranked 6th all-time in runs scored (119), tied for second in triples (7), eighth in home runs (21), third in RBI (131), eighth in walks (60) and seventh in stolen bases (26). His 18 doubles hit in 1998 was a school record until 2006 and still ranked second by 2010 while his 159 at bats in 1998 was a record until 2006 and was still ranked eighth most in a season by his induction.

On the mound, Johnson’s 22 career victories are only one behind the career record while he ranked fifth all-time in saves as of his induction. With 227.2 innings (4th) all-time, Johnson struck out 244 batters which was a career record until 2009 and his 9.65 strikeouts per game (9 innings) also held until 2009.

Dave and his wife, Colleen, currently reside in Savage, Minn. with their daughter, Megan, and their son, Nick.
