Concordia-St. Paul Athletic Hall of Fame
Lonn Maly was a three-sport letter winner as a student at Concordia: soccer (four letters); tennis (three letters); and wrestling (one letter). A four-year soccer starter, in 1977, he helped the team win the Twin Rivers Athletic Conference title and go on to be National Little College Championship runner-ups. In 1979, he was named team captain, selected all-conference and was voted MVP of the Comets team that won another Twin Rivers conference title and National Little College championship honors. In tennis, Dr. Maly was a two-time conference champion at doubles in 1978 and fifth at singles in 1981. Dr. Maly is currently dean of the College of Education at Concordia University, St. Paul.
