One of the most distinguished and feared hitters in NSIC baseball history, the Johnston, Iowa (Johnston HS) native flirted with the .500 batting average mark for a single season while capturing the NCAA Division II batting title (.494) on his way to being selected by the Washington Nationals in the 19th round in the 2012 MLB Draft.

Of the various awards in Lippincott’s file, none are more prestigious than being named the CoSIDA Division II Academic All-American of the Year across all Division II sports, beating out the Academic All-American of the Year selections for all other sports during that academic year.

After a perfect 40-0 prep baseball season at Johnston High School, Lippincott continued to win at Concordia, starting 29 games as a true freshman for a 2009 Golden Bear squad that set and still holds the program’s single season wins record with a 35-18 season.

A perfect 4.0 student, Lippincott completed his finance degree at CSP and would later earn his MBA from the University of St. Thomas with an emphasis in business analytics. He works as a lead financial analyst at Coloplast in Northeast Minneapolis and married CSP women’s basketball student-athlete Marlayna (Graff). They reside in St. Paul with their children, Brooklynne (6), Everett (3) and Cameron (3 months).
