2013: USA College Football Division II Preseason All-America Third Team ... D2Football.com Preseason All-America Fifth Team and Preseason All-NSIC First Team ... ninth-ranked defensive tackle in the nation according to D2Football.com preseason position rankings ... played in 10 games with nine starts at defensive tackle …a three time CU Defensive Lineman of the Week (vs Minnesota State, Wayne State, and Southwest Minnesota State) …  named CU Defensive Player of the Week for the SMSU game (11/9/13) … ranked eighth on the defense in tackles with 40 (16 solo) … had three tackles for loss, a pass break up, two fumble recoveries and two quarterback hurries on the season … had a season high nine tackles (three solo), a pass breakup, and a fumble recovery against Minnesota State (10/5/13) …  registered six tackles (three solo) in a victory at MSU Moorhead (9/28/13) … had a six tackle (two solo) performance against Southwest Minnesota State (11/9/13) … had four or more tackles five weeks straight … had at least two tackles in nine of 10 games played.
