Concordia Career:
2015: USA College Football Preseason All-America Second Team

2014: Named All-NSIC South Division honorable mention ... registered 17 total tackles with 5.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks ... added four passes defended, five quarterback hurries and an interception.

2013: Played in 10 games with nine starts for the Golden Bears … three time CU Defensive Lineman of the Week at Bemidji State (9/14/13), at MSU Moorhead (9/28/13), and at Upper Iowa (10/12/13) … CU Defensive Player of the Week against Upper Iowa … finished the season with 21 tackles, three tackles for loss, an interception,  two pass deflections, a quarterback hurry, and a forced fumble … ranked 12th on the team in total tackles … tied for first on the team in interceptions …  registered five tackles (2.0 for loss) in a victory at MSU Moorhead (9/28/13) … had four tackles (one solo) and half a sack in a victory at Wayne State (10/26/13) … had six multi tackle games … recorded a tackle in eight games.

Post-SDSU:
Served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a machine gunner ... combat veteran ... deployed to Afghanistan.

South Dakota State University:
2005: Played for the NCAA FCS Jackbrabbits, playing all 11 games as a true freshman ... started last eight games of the season ... compiled 27 tackles in 11 games while tying for the team-high with 7.0 tackles for loss and leading the team with 5.0 sacks ... also had a forced fumble, pass breakup and quarterback hurry ... recorded season-high six tackles (four solo) with a sack at Montana (9/17/05) ... had five tackles against Georgia Southern (10/29/05) ... had breakout game in week two with four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and first career sack in win over Valparaiso University (9/10/05) ... also picked up sacks against UC-Davis (10/8/05), Missouri-Rolla (10/22/05) and Southern Utah (11/5/05).

Minnetonka High School:
Helped lead the Skippers to MSHSL Class 5A state championship and a 13-1 record as a senior ... named Associated Press All-State First Team ... an All-Metro and All-Lake Conference performer.

Personal:
Born December 26, 1986 ... son of Lorin Peterson ... has two sisters, Sara and Anna, and one brother, Roddy ... will major in sport management at Concordia.
