ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team heads down to Blue Springs, Missouri to compete at the NSIC Preview on Monday morning. The two round tournament is set to take place at the Adams Pointe Golf Club on March 30 and 31.
Tournament and Course Information
Just outside of downtown Kansas City, Adams Pointe Golf Club's 18-hole championship golf facility is highly regarded in the Kansas City golf community for its layout and superior conditions. The course is skillfully carved out of forests and wetlands in the challenging front nine, while the back nine offers scenic links style golf with dramatic elevation changes. The par 72, 18-hole course plays 6,938 yards from the gold tees and features four par threes, 10 par fours and four par fives.
Whether conditions for Monday are partly cloudy with a high of 86 degrees, with 19 mph winds coming out of the south-southwest. Tuesday's conditions see a high of 76 degrees, cloudy in the morning with a 77% chance of thunderstorms developing later in the day.
12 teams are set to compete at the NSIC Preview, eight of which are NSIC squads including host school Minnesota State, CSP, Minnesota Crookston, Augustana, Minot State, Sioux Falls, UMary and Winona State. Four non-NSIC schools are set to compete including Upper Iowa, Rockhurst, Washburn and Missouri Western.
Region Rankings
CSP was featured in the second edition of the NCAA Central Region Rankings. The Golden Bears slotted in 20th in the rankings along with five other NSIC squads including Minnesota State at 11, Winona State at 14, Wayne State at 15, Augustana at 17 and CSP at 20.
A total of 18 teams will compete at the NCAA Central Regional, which is set to take place May 4-6 at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Last Season
The Golden Bears finished 11th at the 2025 NSIC Preview, carding a collective 679 (+103) at the tournament. Darby Barstad and Piper Hill led the way for CSP carding identical scores of 167 (+23) to finish in a tie for 34th place.
Ella Matzke finished in a tie for 59th place with a two round score of 175 (+31), moving up right spots on the final day. Rebecca DeLong shot a 176 (+32) to finish in 62nd place and Marina Allen carded a 177 (+33), good for a 64th place finish.
Last Time Out
CSP finished sixth out of 13 teams at the Firekeeper Open last week, carding a collective 926 (+62) across all three rounds at the Firekeeper Golf Course. Addi Wood led the way for CSP, carding a 219 (+3) across three rounds, finishing in third place and setting a program record 54 hole low.
Piper Hill moved up three spots on the final day of competition, carding a 230 (+14) at the tournament to finish in 13th place. Rebecca DeLong put together a three round score of 236 (+20) for a 23rd place finish.
Darby Barstad carded a 249 (+33) for the tournament to finish in 53rd place and Marina Allen shot a 245 (+29) across all three rounds, good for a 46th place finish.
Through 15 rounds of play this season, Addi Wood leads the NSIC with a 75.4 scoring average. Piper Hill ranks 12th in the conference with a 78.9 scoring average.
As a team the Golden Bears rank fifth in the NSIC in team scoring average at 316.5, which is on pace for the lowest scoring average in program history.
