An All-Central Lakes Conference performer in baseball and basketball was also the quarterback for the Otters' football team ... earned Academic All-State honors as a senior basketball player by the coaches association ... as a junior, struck out 73 batters in 50 innings with a 6-3 record and a 2.73 earned run average ... earned three letters each in baseball, basketball and football ... also involved in band and an organized lunch group called "Tummy Tuesday."

Born October 24, 1993 ... son of Mike and Carol Rengel ... has an older brother, Nate; and two older sisters, Anna and Becca ... his brother, Nate, played basketball at the University of Mary (2005-08) ... is a biology major with minors in chemistry and psychology ... would like to attend medical school or play professional baseball in his future after graduation ... is a Dean's List student.
