BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team captured a third place finish at the NSIC Championships on Friday afternoon behind a 312 (+24) final round. The Golden Bears ended the tournament with a three round total of 934 (+70), which is their second best three round score of the season and the third lowest three round team score in program history.

It is also the lowest three-round score by the Golden Bears at the NSIC Tournament in program history beating out the previous record of 957 (+105) at the 2010 tournament, where CSP finished in second place.

The third place finish is CSP's best showing at the NSIC Tournament since they managed a fourth place finish at the 2021 NSIC Women's Golf Championships. CSP finished with a team score of 997 (+133) that year.

Addi Wood continued to climb the leaderboard on the final day of competition, carding a 71 (-1) in round three to shoot a 224 (+8) for the tournament and end regulation in a tie for first place. Wood's stellar third round was highlighted by a string of four consecutive birdies on holes 13 through 16, shooting a 34 on the back nine.

The freshman ended in a tie atop the leaderboard with Gaia Stancikova of Wayne State for first place and the individual title, forcing the first playoff hole in the history of the NSIC Women's Golf Championship. Four playoff holes ensued on the first and 18th holes, before Stancikova claimed individual medalist honors.

Wood's finish earned her NSIC All-Tournament team honors, becoming the first Golden Bear to take home All-Tournament honors since Piper Hill finished in third place in 2024. With a 54 hole score of 224 (+8) Wood owns the second lowest 54 hole score at the NSIC Championships in program history finishing two strokes shy of Isabella Dory, who carded a 222 (+6) at the 2023 NSIC Championships.

Rebecca DeLong shot an 81 (+9) in the final round of play to card a 233 (+17) across 54 holes finishing in a tie for eighth place. DeLong opened the final round of play with her lone birdie of the day and finished with nine pars, to set a new career 54 hole low beating out her previous low of 236 at the Firekeeper Open earlier this season.

The junior also notched her best career score and finish at the NSIC Championships after she shot a 255 (+39) last season and finished in 40th place.

Senior Piper Hill shot a 78 (+6) in the final round of play, to card a 242 (+26) for the tournament, finishing in 24th place. Hill opened the day with a birdie on hole 17 and added another on hole four, while making par on nine holes. Hill's 24th place finish bests her finish at the 2025 NSIC Championships where she came in 25th with a score of 244 (+28).

Ella Matzke shot a 82 (+10) in the third round to card a 241 (+25) for the tournament, finishing in 22nd place. Matzke tied a 54 hole low with the 241 she shot at the Firekeeper Open earlier this season, it is a career best showing for her at the NSIC Championships, beating the 248 (+32) and 32nd place finish for her at last season's tournament.

Darby Barstad rounded out the CSP five, shooting a 85 (+13) in the final round with one birdie to card a 248 (+32) for the tournament, finishing in 30th place.

Wayne State took home the team title behind a three round score of 926 (+62), shooting a 303 (+15) in the final round to claim the title and punch their ticket to the NCAA Central Regional. The Wildcats ended play with a five stroke lead on second place Minnesota State who shot a 931 (+67).

The third place finish puts the Golden Bears in good spot to snag an at-large bid to the regional, CSP finished ahead of Augustana who finished in seventh place and Winona State who came fourth. Both the Vikings and Warriors were ranked ahead of the Golden Bears in the latest edition of the region rankings.

CSP will await the announcement of the regional field, with the NCAA Central Regional set to take place May 4-6 at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
