CSP women’s golf set for postseason play at NSIC Championships

The Golden Bears open the three round tournament Wednesday morning at the Adams Pointe Golf Complex.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team is set to compete at the NSIC Championships this week, April 22-24. The three round tournament is set to take place at the Adams Pointe Golf Complex in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Tournament and Course Information
The Championship will consist of a 54 hole tournament, comprised of three competition days of 18 holes each. In the case of inclement weather it is permissible to play more than 18 holes on competition days. Stroke play will determine the NSIC Championship with the team with the lowest stroke total being crowned NSIC Champion and receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Regional.

13 NSIC are slated to compete with CSP, Wayne State, Minnesota State, Jamestown, UMary, Southwest Minnesota State, Minnesota Crookston, Bemidji State, Augustana, Minot State, Sioux Falls, Winona State and MSU Moorhead making up the field.

Just outside of downtown Kansas City, Adams Pointe Golf Club's 18-hole championship golf facility is highly regarded in the Kansas City golf community for its layout and superior conditions. The course is skillfully carved out of forests and wetlands in the challenging front nine, while the back nine offers scenic links style golf with dramatic elevation changes. The par 72, 18-hole course plays 6,938 yards from the gold tees and features four par threes, 10 par fours and four par fives.

Regional Rankings
The Golden Bears head into the tournament after being ranked 19th in the latest NCAA Central Region Rankings. A total of 10 teams are listed in the rankings and the top 18 will move on to compete at the NCAA Central Regional on May 4-6 at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Five NSIC teams were listed in the ranking with Minnesota State, Wayne State, Augustana, Winona State and CSP being mentioned.
