WAYNE, Neb. — After shooting a collective 299 (+11) in the final round of play, the Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team moved up four spots to finish in second place at the Wildcat Classic on Tuesday afternoon. CSP shot a 309  (+21) in the opening round to card a 608 (+32) for the tournament.

The Golden Bears 608 marks a new two round single-season low for a four player score, it is also the second-lowest two round score in program history behind only the 604 (+28) CSP shot at the 2013 Upper Iowa Spring Invitational. CSP's second round score of 299 is the second lowest single round score in program history as well, beating out the 300 the group shot earlier this season in the third round at the Firekeeper Open.

The group finished just two strokes off the program record of 297 (+9) set at the 2013 Upper Iowa Spring Invitational.

Addi Wood surged 14 spots on the final day of competition, putting together one of her best single round performances of the season so far. Wood tied a single round season-low shooting a 70 (-2) in the final round of play to card a 147 (+3) for the tournament, finishing in a tie for first place through 36 holes of play.

The freshman set the tone with a birdie on the 316 yard par four, fourth hole and picked up three more birdies on the back nine, where she shot a 33. Wood was consistent all afternoon making par on 12 holes and dropping just two shots.

Wood's second round score of 70 is matched only by the 70 she posted at the Firekeeper Open back in March, it is the second lowest single round score in the NSIC this season.

Three playoff holes were needed to break the tie between Wood and Nebraska-Kearney's Claire Berquist, with Berquist eventually coming out on top with the individual title. It is Wood's sixth top 10 finish of the season and third second place finish.

Piper Hill moved up 10 spots on the final day of competition after carding a 74 (+2) in the final round to shoot a 151 (+70) the tournament, finishing in fifth place. For Hill it is tied for her second lowest single round score of the season after she shot a 72 at the USF Invitational in October.

Hill finished round two with two birdies and 12 pars, across both rounds Hill tallied seven birdies tied for the most of any golfer at the tournament. The finish marks Hill's seventh top five placement of her career and second this season after her individual win at the USF Invitational.

Rebecca DeLong carded a 76 (+4) in the second round, shooting a 154 (+10) for the tournament and finishing in 17th place. DeLong notched three birdies in the final round, scoring a 38 on both the front and back nine.

DeLong has now matched her career best two round score in back-to-back weeks after she shot a 154 across both rounds at the Augustana Invitational last week.

Ella Matzke shot a 79 (+7) in the final round to card a 156 (+12) for the tournament, finishing in 26th place. Matzke rounded out the scoring for CSP, tallying one birdie on the par four 18th hole and finishing with her lowest two round score of the season, besting her 157 at the SMSU Spring Invite.

Darby Barstad rounded out the CSP five, shooting a 79 (+7) in round two for a 36 hole score of 159 (+15) and a 38th place finish. Marina Allen competed independently and shot a 86 (+14 ) in round two to card a 168 (+24) for the tournament, finishing in 64th place.

Nebraska-Kearney claimed the top spot in the team competition, shooting a 602 (+26) for the tournament and finishing with a six stroke lead. CSP finished in second as the best NSIC squad, with a one stroke lead on both Minnesota State and Wayne State.

The Golden Bears now head into postseason play with the three round NSIC Championships set for April 22-24 at the Adams Pointe Golf Course in Blue Springs, Missouri.
