CSP women’s golf slots in 19th in third NCAA Central Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team moved up one spot in the NCAA Central Region Rankings, coming in 19th in the most recent rankings released this afternoon. The Golden Bears were one of five NSIC teams listed in the third edition of the rankings. 

A total of 20 teams are listed, with the top 18 moving on to compete at the NCAA Central Regional on May 4-6 at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. Among the NSIC squads listed are Minnesota State at 11, Wayne State at 14, Augustana at 15, Winona State at 17 and CSP at 19. 

18 teams in the East, Central, South and West Regions; along with six individuals, not on those teams, will compete at the regionals. Four, 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted to determine the participants in the championship finals. 

The Golden Bears are coming off a first place finish at the Augustana Invitational earlier this week and will compete in their final tournament of the regular season, the Wildcat Classic at the Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Nebraska on Monday, April 13.
