Brandon Sperling named All-NSIC First Team for second year in a row

Junior golfer earns honor after setting a program-record 72.2 scoring average in 2023-24 season

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) announced the 2023-24 men's golf awards on Thursday and CSP's Brandon Sperling was named as a First Team All-Conference selection. 

This is Sperling's second First Team All-NSIC selection and his third All-Conference selection of his career. This is the eighth time Concordia-St. Paul has received a First Team All-NSIC selection in program history. Sperling also won this season's NSIC Outstanding Senior of the Year award and earned All-Tournament honors, placing fourth. 

Sperling currently has the lowest career scoring average in program history at 74.07. His scoring average of 72.2 this season ranks third in the NSIC and is the best in school history. 

The junior will compete as an individual at the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional. The tournament takes place on May 9-11 at KickingBird Golf Club in Edmond, Oklahoma.
