Three CSP golfers set career lows as the Golden Bears finish sixth at Skip Wagnon Invitational

EDMOND, Okla. — Behind a career day from senior golfer Trey Timm, the Concordia-St. Paul men's golf team finished sixth at the Skip Wagnon Invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma this afternoon. The Golden Bears shot a collective 281 (+1) in the third round, finishing the tournament with a score of 842 (+2). 

Trey Timm saved his best round for last as he carded a 66 (-4) to set a new career single round low, and tied for second lowest single-round score in program history. 

Timm opened the third round with four consecutive pars before birdying the 536 yard, par five, 12th hole. The senior golfer added two more birdies on the back nine, before adding two more birdies on holes one and four to tally five in total. 

Timm dropped just one shot on the day, finishing with 12 pars on the scorecard.  Carding  a 70 in round one and a 77 in round two to give him a score of 213 (+3) for the tournament to finish 31st. 

213 is a new career three-round low for the senior, besting his 54 hole low of 221 at the 2024 Firekeeper Open. Timm's 213 is the fourth lowest three-round score in program history; Brandon Sperling owns the 54 hole record with a score of 204. 

Freshman Sean Leutner tallied one birdie in the final round, to go along with 15 pars to shoot a 71 (+1). Leutner carded a 74 in round one and a career low 66 in round two to shoot a 211 (+1) to finish in 25th place individually. 

Leutner's three-round score of 211 is tied for third lowest 54 hole score in program history and the lowest three-round score by a freshman in program history. 

Chase Camilli put together a solid final round, shooting a 73 (+3) and birdying twice. Camilli opened the tournament with a 69 (-1) in round one, a 70 (E) in round two to card a 212 (+2) to come in 27th. 

Camilli's 212 is a new 54 hole low, smashing his previous three-round low of 233 at last season's Firekeeper Open. It is tied for the second lowest 54 hole score in program history. 

Carson Boe carded a 71 (+1) in the final round, tallying three birdies on the scorecard. The freshman shot a 79 in round one, a 73 in round two to give him a 54 hole score of 223 (+13) to finish in 83rd place. 

Josh Esterley shot a 75 (+5) in the final round, tallying one birdie on the day. The junior tied a career and program low by shooting a 65 (-5) in round one, in round two Esterley shot a 74 (+4) to card a 214 (+4) for the tournament. 

214 is the junior's second lowest 54 hole score, bested only by his program record of 209 at last season's Firekeeper Open. 

St. Mary's (TX) claimed the top spot on the team leaderboard finishing the tournament a collective 34-under-par. Winona State came in fourth as the top NSIC school, shooting a collective two-under-par, four strokes ahead of CSP at two-over-par in sixth. 

Kongpop Kaikaew of St. Mary's finished on top of the individual leader board after carding a 197 (-13) across three rounds. Logan Schoepp of Bemidji State was the top NSIC finisher, placing 18th after shooting a 209 (-1). 

The Golden Bears close out the fall portion of their schedule next week, when they compete in the USF Invite hosted by Sioux Falls at the Grand Falls Golf Club in Larchwood, Iowa on Oct. 13-14.
