Tyler Naumowicz hurdles to two wins at the Macalester Twilight

Concordia racks up five first place finishes

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Golden Bears men's team had a strong showing at the Macalester Twilight. Tyler Naumowicz led the way, winning both the hurdles races. The meet was team scored and Concordia's nine top-five finishes propelled them to place third overall.

Naumowicz won in both the 110 and 400 meter hurdles. After last week's Holst Invitational, he has now accumulated four wins in six days, including a relay win. Coming off his first 400m hurdles race last week, today he finished with time of 55.24.

The 4x100 relay took first with a time of 42.49. They improve on their season best time by almost a second and a half. Colin Goligoski ran on the relay and will look for this success to carry over as he competes in the NSIC multi-event championships early next week.

David Stanley was another CU winner at the Macalester Twilight. He raced the 400 meter dash to a time of 49.30. Adam Hausken placed fifth.

It was back-to-back triple jump wins for Antony Odera. He will join Goligoski to compete in the multi-event championships on Sunday and Monday.

Mike Cullen was an inch away from his school record in the shot put. His good performance will send him to Des Moines on a positive note. He throws on Saturday afternoon at the Drake Relays.
