Golden Bears claim seven event wins at the Rider/Bolstorff Invite

Krummen logs third consecutive NCAA provisional qualifier

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul track and field team competed in its second local meet of the week on Friday and Saturday at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational hosted by Macalester College.

The Golden Bears collected seven event wins across the two-day meet, including four on the men's side and three on the women's side. The meet was scored, with both the CSP men and women finishing in second place.  
 
In the 4x100-meter relay, the CSP squad of Nevaeh Coffer, Desiree Loyd, Ella Frieling, and Sophia Crespo secured first place and set a new meet record with a time of 48.36 seconds.

Sophomore Bernie Barnhardt claimed her first event win of the outdoor season, winning the hammer throw with a distance of 170' 7".

In the women's high jump, junior Desiree Loyd added another event win after clearing 5' 3".

Sophomore Mackenzie Lovejoy clocked her fastest time of the season in the 100-meter hurdles, placing second with a time of 15.38 seconds.

For the Concordia men, senior Carter Krummen logged his third NCAA provisional qualifying mark in as many meets, using a toss of 187' 6" in the hammer throw to win the event.

In the pole vault, junior Abid Alam set a new personal record with a height of 13' 6.5", securing a first-place finish.

Senior Cade Feist won the men's shot put, recording a distance of 53' 9.25" to win the event by more than two feet.

Concordia's final event win came in the men's triple jump, where freshman Fadel Johnson Jr. placed first with a distance of 45' 0.5".
