PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Distance runners from the Concordia-St. Paul track and field team competed in the 5,000-meter run at the UW-Platteville Invite on Friday evening.
Senior
Andrew Boyum was the top finisher for the Concordia men in a large field of 343 runners, shattering his personal record with a time of 15:10.51.
Fellow senior
Ethan Blischke was the next across the finish line, clocking a time of 15:16.34 to place 170
th.
Junior
Andrew Alexander finished in 208
th place, recording a time of 15:27.04.
Josh Krummel was the fourth CSP runner across the line, placing 252
nd with a personal-best time of 15:38.82.
Sophomore
Travis Tock rounded out the Golden Bear men in 272
nd place with a time of 15:46.40, a new personal record.
On the women's side in a field of 197 runners, sophomore
Kayla Anderson was Concordia's top finisher in 146
th place with a time of 18:53.74.
Freshman
Lauryn Rosenthal placed 188
th, clocking a time of 19:46.18.
The Golden Bears will next compete at the Minnesota State Open on Monday, April 13. The meet, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 11, was shifted due to inclement weather in the forecast over the weekend.
