INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team was featured in the first edition of the NCAA Division II Central Region Rankings. Five NSIC schools were featured in the rankings, a total of 18 schools were listed. In the initial ranking schools are listed under consideration in alphabetical order.
The Golden Bears are coming off of a second place finish at the SMSU Invitational to open up the spring portion of their schedule. CSP shot a collective 616 (+40) across two rounds to notch their second best team placement of the season after opening the season with the win at the Tracy Lane Invitational.
CSP women's golf has made the NCAA Central Regionals on eight different occasions, from 2008-09 through 2015-16 seasons. The Golden Bears have finished second at the regional on two separate occasions, in 2008-09 and 2010-11 earning a trip to the NCAA Division II Championships in both seasons.
The NCAA Central Regional will be played on May 4-6 at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Four, 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted to determine the participants in the championships final. 18 teams in the East, Central, South and West Regions; along with six individuals, not on those teams, will compete at the regionals.
The NCAA Women's Golf Championships will take place May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
