EDMOND, Okla. — The Concordia-St. Paul men's golf team wrapped up the third and final round of play at the Skip Wagnon Invitational. CSP shot a 271 (-9) to card a 824 (-15) as a team, finishing in sixth place among a competitive field of central region opponents.

The three-round score is a new team program record, beating out the previous 54 hole low of 862 (-2) at the 2025 NSIC Championships. CSP's third round score of 271 (-9) is the second-lowest single round score in program history, tied with their third round performance at the 2025 NSIC Championships.

The record setting effort was led by freshman Brennan Weckweth who recorded his third straight round of 66 (-4) to finish with a 54 hole score of 198 (-12) and a third place finish. Weckwerth's 54 hole score is the lowest in program history, breaking the previous mark of 209 (-7) set by Josh Esterley at the 2025 NSIC Championships.

The freshman's third round included five birdies, giving him a total of 12 birdies and one eagle across all three rounds of play. Weckwerth also managed an astounding 39 pars, good for third among all competitors, while recording just two bogeys. In seven rounds of collegiate golf Weckwerth has now managed par or better in all of them, while also recording the third top five finish of his career.

Tyler Gandrud notched his second 67 (-3) round of the tournament to finish with a 54 hole score of 210 (E) and a 39th place finish. Gandrud birdied three times in the final round of play, while recording an eagle on the 365 yard, par four, second hole. Across all three rounds of play the junior notched nine birdies and one eagle.

Finishing in a tie with Gandrud for 39th place is Josh Esterley who shot a 70 (E) in the final round to card a 210 (E) for the tournament. For the senior it is the second lowest three-round score of his career, bested only by his 209 (-7) at the NSIC Championships. Esterley notched a total of eight birdies and one albatross at the three-round tournament.

For both Gandrud and Esterley the 210 (E) finish is the eighth lowest three-round score in program history.

Sean Leutner rounded out the scoring for CSP with a 68 (-2) third round and a 54 hole score of 215 (+5) for the tournament, finishing in 59th place. Leutner managed four birdies and one eagle in the final round of play.

Carson Boe was the final member of the CSP five capping off the tournament with a 75 (+5) final round to card a 54 hole score of 217 (+7). Boe's 54 hole score is a new career third-round low, beating out his previous best of 223 (+17) at last year's Skip Wagnon Invitational.

Central Oklahoma took home the team title, finishing with a three round score of 800 (-40) winning by seven strokes as the host team. CSP was the best performing NSIC team at the tournament, finishing seven strokes ahead of Winona State in 10th place.

Nicholas Canales of Central Oklahoma put together a three-round score of 194 (-16) to take home individual medalist honors. Weckwerth was the top NSIC finisher at the event, five strokes ahead of Bemidji State's Jack Hagberg in 15th place.

CSP returns to action on Monday, October 12 for the Newman Fall Invite at the Terradyne Country Club in Andover, Kansas.
