NORTHFIELD, Minn.  – The Concordia-St. Paul men's and women's track and field teams headed just south of the metro this weekend, capturing seven individual wins and 49 top-10 finishes at the St. Olaf Invitational and Multi-Events on Friday and Saturday at the Tostrud Center on the campus of St. Olaf College.

The men were highlighted by freshman sprinter Del Johnson, who clocked a time of 21.97 seconds in the 200m to win the event. That time converted to a flat-track time of 21.59 seconds, good for an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark that currently ranks 26th in the nation.

In the 1,000m, Emmett Faltesek claimed first place with a time of 2:29.73, a new personal best for the senior.

Dan Otto was dominant in the throws for Concordia, winning both the shot put with a distance of 51' 0.25" (15.55m) and the weight throw with a mark of 55' 5.5" (16.90m), both of which were season highs for the junior.

On the women's side, Chidera Osuoha secured a first-place finish in the 60m with a time of 8.12 seconds.

Cadence Tanner had another strong outing in the jumps, winning the high jump after clearing a season-high 1.60m (5' 3") and placing second in the long jump with a mark of 5.40m (17' 8.75").

In the shot put, junior Maya Lavendusky claimed Concordia's final individual victory with a 40' 4.75" (12.31m) toss that won the event by more than two feet.

The Golden Bears will split up next weekend, with a majority of the team competing at the Mark Schuck Open hosted by Minnesota State while a select group of athletes will travel to Topeka, Kan. for the Washburn Open.
