Greenwalt narrowly misses automatic bid for the NCAA Championships

The Golden Bear will serve as an alternate after finishing just outside of the top 22

GENEVA, Ohio - CSP diver Caitlyn Greenwalt finished just outside of the automatic qualification requirements on Tuesday following the 2024 Division II Women's Diving Qualification meet at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center. The Cottage Grove, Minnesota native will be an alternate for the remainder of the 2024 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship.
 
In the opening session of the qualifier, the sophomore finished 28th in the 3-meter dive after collecting a score of 185.85 (30.97 AVG/RD). Luna Vejarano of Clarion (Pa.) claimed first place in the event with an astonishing score of 279.30, followed by Madison Kooistra of Grand Valley State (Mich.) and Mikaela Senkus of Wayne State (Mich.).
 
Action concluded on Tuesday with the 1-meter dive, where Greenwalt finished 16th after earning a score of 222.90 (37.5 AVG/RD). Alexa Gonczi of Clarion (Pa.) claimed the top finish in the event with a score of 281.45, just in front of Aspen Warnygora of Minnesota State and Luna Vejarano of Clarion (Pa.).
