Four Golden Bears earn CSC Academic All-District honors

Leo advances to All-America ballot

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Swimming and Diving teams on Tuesday morning with Concordia-St. Paul earning four selections. 

The recipients included Claire Briest, Sophie Leo, Chloe Rihon and Sierra Sherry

With four selections, the CSP swim and dive program has now recorded their third year in a row with the max selection of four student-athletes. Leo and Rihon make the team for the second straight season and Briest and Sherry earn their first CSC honor. 

Leo has advanced to the CSC All-American ballot for consideration. The CSC Academic All-America Teams will be voted on by members of the College Sports Communicators and will be announced in late spring. 

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore athletically and academically and be a significant contributor for their program. 

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.


Claire Briest (Breast/IM, 5-10, So., Bloomington, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson HS)

  • CSC Academic All-District Team

  • NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence 

  • Collected a pair of seventh place finishes at 2025-26 NSIC Championships

  • Recorded 29 points for the Golden Bears at NSIC Championships

  • Holds the school record in the 200 Breaststroke.

Sophie Leo (Back/Free, 6-1, Jr., Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS)

  • Two-time CSC Academic All-District Team

  • 2025-26 NCAA Individual Qualifier

  • Two-time NSIC Individual Champion

  • 2025-26 NCAA Swimmer of the Year

  • Tallied three All-America finishes, making finals in three events at NCAA Swimming Championships 

  • Placed fourth in the 100-back at NCAA Championships

  • Gathered four All-NSIC Finishes at NSIC Swimming and Diving Championships

  • CSCAA Scholar All-America Second team

  • Two-Time NSIC All-Academic Team

  • 2023-24 NSIC Freshman of the Year

Chloe Rihon (Back/IM, 5-4, Sr., Liège, Belgium/Collège Saint-Veronique)

  • Two-time CSC All-District Team

  • Three-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence 

  • Tallied 33 points at the 2025-26 NSIC Championships 

  • Collected a pair of seventh place finishes at the NSIC Championships

  • Holds four school records 

  • Recorded seven top-10 career finishes at NSIC Championships

Sierra Sherry (Free, 5-2, Jr., Boone, Iowa/Boone HS)

  • CSC Academic All-District Team

  • Two-time NSIC Academic Team of Excellence

  • Collected points in the 200-free at 2025-26 NSIC Championships

  • Made finals in the both the 200-free and 100-free at NSIC Championships

  • Holds seven top-10 times in program history
