BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has announced 65 student-athletes from Concordia-St. Paul are among the 880 league-wide selections for the 2024 NSIC Fall All-Academic Teams. Additionally, of CSP's 65 selections, 50 were lifted up to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence among 528 league-wide, while 15 were honored as NSIC All-Academic Team selections among 352 in the conference.
This year's total matches last year's record of 65 selections while the 50 Academic Team of Excellence selections slid past last year's previous record of 47. It's the fourth consecutive year of growth for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence for CSP, and nearly a fourth-straight year of growth for the overall NSIC All-Academic list, as well.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must carry a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must achieve a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.
Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his/her institution (true freshmen, redshirt freshmen and ineligible academic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
