MARSHALL, Minn. - The Concordia St. Paul women's golf team rebounded in round two of the Mustang Invitational tying for third place with a team score of 635 (+59). The Golden Bears entered the day in ninth place after round one, but shot 17 strokes better in round two to jump six places in the team standings. 

Anna Tollette was the top golfer for Concordia. She tied for 11th with a score of 155 (+11). Tollette shot 80 (+8) on day one and came back on day two shooting 75 (+3). She recorded three birdies on the second day after only tallying one on the first day. 

Piper Hill tied for 14th place after shooting 157 (+13). She had a round one score of 83 (+11) and a round two score of 74 (+2). Her round two score was the lowest round of any CSP golfer on the weekend. Hill birdied three straight holes in the second round and finished with four overall. 

Rebecca DeLong placed 22nd with a score of 159 (+15). She shot 80 (+8) in round one and 79 (+7) in round two. Darby Barstad tied for 35th with an overall score of 164 (+20). Sage Mulder tied for 75th at 194 (+50)

Concordia-St. Paul tied for third with Sioux Falls. They were six strokes behind Minnesota State in second place. Chadron State was in fourth place two strokes behind Concordia at 637 (+61). 

Augustana won the meet with a team score of 589 (+13). That broke the 36-hole record at the Mustang Invite for a team score. They finished with four golfers in the top five and six in the top 10. Lanie Veenendall of the Vikings won the invitational shooting 144 (E). Her first-round score of 68 (-4) was the lowest round at Marshall Golf Club over the weekend. 

The Golden Bears will be back in action for their last fall tournament on Oct. 9-10 at the Sioux Falls Invitational. The invitational will take place at Grand Falls Golf Resort in Larchwood Iowa.
