ST. PAUL, Minn. - CSP swim returns to action next Saturday, as they are set to host their first-ever home swim meet against the Minnesota State Mavericks and the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs.
The event will take place in Mendota Heights at Two Rivers Aquatic Center and is scheduled for 2 p.m. [

"Our team is ecstatic to be hosting and competing at our first-ever home swim and dive meet," Head Coach
Rachel Busch commented.
Busch added, "The meet will feature 200s of the strokes, which we haven't raced yet this season."
"The coaches are looking forward to continuing to see the women's hard work pay off," She concluded.
LAST TIME OUT
After a three-week break from the opening swim meet of the season, the Golden Bears returned to action at the St. Catherine Pentathlon. The meet featured swimmers from Augsburg, Concordia-St. Paul, Hamline, St, Benedict and St. Catherine.
The Golden Bears finished third place at the meet with 148 points and six swimmers finished in the top 30 in the individual standings.
Chloe Rihon led the Golden Bears with a fourth-place finish and team-best 65 points. The freshman collected a third-place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.56.
Sydney Fleming rounded out the top ten for the Golden Bears with a tie for ninth place in the individual standings and a total of 30 points.
Farida Maher also made an impact for the Golden Bears with her third-place finish in the 100 yard freestyle and 30-point finish.
HISTORY AGAINST MSU
The Golden Bears and Mavericks will meet for the second time in program history. In the first meeting, MSU was able to defeat the Golden Bears 239-62 at the MSU Double Dual on October 15, 2021. Maher led the Golden Bears in the dual with a first-place finish in the 500 yard and 1000 yard freestyle.
HISTORY AGAINST SMSU
Saturday's swim meet will mark the fourth meeting dating back to October 15, 2021, between the Golden Bears and the Mustangs. SMSU holds a 4-0 record over the Golden Bears, including a 184-112 win last September at NSU Relay Meet. In that meet, the trio of Gulia Cury, Laura Veknoy and Maher claimed a victory in the 3x500 yard.
