ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul men's and women's track and field teams will head to Fargo, North Dakota this weekend for the Bison Open on the campus of North Dakota State University.

The Bison Open will be held on Friday, February 5 and Saturday, February 6 at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility on the campus of NDSU with events beginning at 11 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Golden Bears competed at the Washburn Open on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
The teams combined to take home 13 top-ten finishes and the men finished in 17
th out of 21 teams with nine points while the women finished ninth out of 20 teams with 25 points.
Of the 13 top-ten finishes, the men accounted for four while the women collected nine.
On the men's side, lone top-ten finish in the track events came from the distance medley relay team of
Travis Andrews,
Josh Sims,
Cullen Feist, and
Matthew Helser as they took seventh place with a time of 10:37.09.
In the long jump,
Andrew Johnson finished fourth with a mark of 6.91m while
Thomas Dietel finished eighth with a jump of 6.74m.
In the heptathlon,
Arik Johnson finished in eighth place with a score of 4443.
For the women,
Toni Canfall grabbed an eighth place finish in the 60m with a time of 7.76. Canfall also took seventh in the 200m with a time of 25.59.
In the 5000m,
Kara Lindberg shattered the previous school record of 18:08.43 set in 2003 with her time of 17:45.32, landing her easily in first place in the event.
Lucia Mesfin landed in fifth place in the 5000m with a time of 18:12.53. Lindberg also grabbed a ninth place finish in the mile with a time of 5:23.67.
Christabelle Mulcahy had another strong day in the 60m hurdles as she finished in eighth with a time of 9.22.
The 4X400m relay team of
Michaella Hartinger,
Tyra Szutkowski,
Lauryn Samuel, and
Sydney Jackson landed in tenth place with a time of 4:13.44.
The Golden Bears also fared well in the field events as
Sofia Dodge grabbed a sixth place finish with a jump of 3.38m and
Tia Donlan finished fifth in the weight throw with a 15.59m toss.
