MORTON, Minn. - Erika Olson earned NSIC All-Tournament honors for the Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team with a tie for fifth place at the conference championship tournament at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club on Sunday. Olson continued the Golden Bears' streak of All-Tournament finishers, as CSP has had at least one golfer in the top five at the NSIC Championships every year since 2014-15.
Olson finished the tournament with a total score of 240 (+24), concluding the championships with a final round of 84 (+12). Olson tied for fifth in the tournament in pars, and also played her best golf on par three holes. Olson shot just +4 on those holes, ranking tied for fourth among all 59 golfers on par three's.
As a team, the Golden Bears will take home a sixth place finish, one better than their seventh place mark at last year's NSIC Championships. Concordia shot a 345 (+57) on the final day of play to finish with a total score of 1017 (+53).
Minnesota State took home the title with a score of 952 (+88), winning the tournament by 33 strokes. The Mavericks' Abbe Partington won the tournament with a score of 235 (+19) and final round of 77 (+5).
Sophie Hill was the next Golden Bear to make an appearance on the scoreboard, as the senior concluded her final Concordia regular season tournament by tying for 17th place. Hill shot an 84 (+12) on the last day of play to finish with a total score of 252 (+36). Hill currently has the all-time lead in school history for strokes per round at 79.9.
Lexi Partington finished in a tie for 25th place by shooting a 260 (+44), including an 87 (+15) in her final round. Partington concluded regular season play in her freshman season with an impressive 81.7 stroke per round average.
Heather Claussen and Emma Robinson rounded out the golfers competing at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club for the Golden Bears. Claussen finished with a total score of 266 (+50) while Robinson posted a final 54-hole mark of 274 (+58).
