Concordia Career:
2014: ADA Academic Achievement Award ... NSIC All-Academic Team ... played in all 11 games, making six starts ... had a pair of catches for 11 yards with a long of seven ... member of blocking unit of offensive line and tight end group that earned Concordia Offensive Linemen of the Week of the honors for the win over Augustana (11/8).

2013: NSIC All-Academic Team … played in all 11 games for the Golden Bears … made two receptions for 14 yards … totaled three assisted tackles on the season.

2012: Named CU Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week at Minnesota State (9/29/12).

2011: Redshirted, did not play... named CU Scout Offensive Player of the Week against Augustana (10/1/11) ... joined the baseball team in the spring, playing in one game and scoring a run.

Glenwood City High School:
Earned 10 combined letters for the Hilltoppers as a three sport athlete: football (3), wrestling (3) and baseball (4) ... helped Hilltoppers to two Dunn-St. Croix Conference Championships in football and one in wrestling ... a three-time All-Dunn-St. Croix Conference selection in football and baseball ... earned WIAA Scholar-Athlete  honors ... also a member of National Honor Society.

Personal:
Born December 9, 1992 ... son of Jim and Mary Munkwitz ... has a younger sister, Frankie who is a catcher on the Concordia softball team (2012-present) ... has graduated with a degree in exercise science and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sport management ... is a Dean's List student and recipient of the President's Scholarship ... his father, Jim Munkwitz, played football for Concordia-St. Paul from 1977-80.
