2014: All-NSIC Second Team ... NSIC All-Academic Team ... ranked 15th in the NSIC and 126th in Division II with 8.1 tackles per game ... made 188 tackles between sophomore and junior seasons with 89 in 2014 ... had 8.5 tackles for loss, a sack, four pass breakups, an interception, nine quarterback hurries, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble ... had at least four tackles in every game with three double-digit tackle performances ... had a season-high 14 tackles in a 37-34 overtime win over Upper Iowa, adding a season-high 3.0 tackles for loss and a forced fumble ... had 11 tackles, a half for loss, an interception and a pass breakup against Northern State (9/13) ... had 12 tackles and a hurry in the season opener at Minnesota Duluth (9/6) ... had half sacks in wins at SMSU (11/1) with eight tacklese (seven solo) and at Winona State (11/15) with five tackles and a tackle for loss.

2013: All-NSIC Honorable Mention … NSIC All-Academic Team … CU Male Athlete of the Week (10/28/13) … started all 11 games at rush linebacker … team leader in tackles with 99 (50 solo) … second on the defense in sacks (4.0) … CU Defensive Player of the Week at Bemidji State (9/14/13) and at Wayne State (10/26/13) … ranked fifth in the NSIC South Division (division games only) in tackle average (9.1) … ranked seventh in the NSIC South Division (division games only) in sacks (3.0) … ranked fifth in entire NSIC in tackles (99) … tied for third on the team in tackles for loss (5.0)… had three pass breakups on the season … recorded five double digit tackle games … had six or more tackles in all 11 games for the Golden Bears … led the team in tackles with 12 (11 solo) against Sioux Falls (10/19/13), adding two tackles for a loss … led the Golden Bear defense in stops with 12 (three solo), adding two pass breakups at MSU Moorhead (9/28/13) … leader in tackles with 12 (five solo) against Southwest Minnesota State (11/9/13) … had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery at Wayne State (10/26/13)..

2012: Played in 10 games as a reserve defensive back and special teams contributor ... made 18 tackles (12 solo) with 3.0 tackles for loss as a true freshman ... made seven tackles (five solo) with 3.0 tackles for loss in season opener in collegiate debut against U-Mary (9/1/12) ... made three tackles in week two in a win at Minnesota Crookston (9/8/12) ... also made two tackles in back-to-back games in a win over Upper Iowa (10/6/12) and at Sioux Falls (10/13/12) ... had three tackles (all solo) in season finale at Winona State (11/10/12) ... made at least one tackle in six games.

South St. Paul High School: 
His 57.5 tackles (48 solo) and seven takeaways (3 INT, 4 FF) led the Packers during his senior season as he earned All-Classic Suburban Conference honors and Special Teams MVP ... led the Classic Suburban Conference in punt return yards with 209 and was a three year starter on the gridiron ... helped the Packers to a 10-2 section championship season as a senior in 2011 and a Classic Suburban Conference Championship as a junior ... also earned four letters in track & field and lettered in basketball ... a three-year Gold Honor Roll student with a 3.523 cumulative grade point average. 

Personal: 
Born May 1, 1994 .. son of Duke and Sandra Trifunov ... has an older sister, Ashlee and an older brother, Nick ... will major in health and physical education ... would like to be a health or gym teacher and coach football in the future, specifically at South St. Paul High School ... a consistent Dean's List student at Concordia.
