Concordia Career:
2019: Was selected by the Minnesota Twins with the 12th pick in the 15th round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, was named to the NCBWA Preseason All-American Third Team, was named to the ABCA Preseason All-American Team, was named NSIC Pitcher of the Week (3/11), was named the NCBWA Central Region Pitcher of the Week (3/13) … was 38th in the nation for strikeout-to-walk ratio, was tied for seventh in the NSIC with 49 strikeouts, led the team with 68, was tied for 16thin the NSIC with batters stakeouts looking with 13, led his team with 20 … went four and five in nine starts, led the team with a 3.58 ERA in 55.1 innings of work which also led the team, held hitters to a .258 opposing batting average while facing 234 hitters, surrendered 14 walks, 54 hits, and 22 runs, and pitched a team leading three complete games … struck out five or more batters in all of his nine starts, walked two or fewer hitters in eight of his nine starts, only gave up nine extra base hits in his nine games pitched ... pitched a season high eight innings and struck out a season high 11 hitters while throwing a season high 112 pitches vs Southwest Minnesota State (3/08), allowed a season low two hits vs Concordia-Nebraska (3/02).
2018: ABCA All-Central Region Second Team … NCBWA All-Central Region honorable mention … All-NSIC Second Team … NSIC Pitcher of the Week (Apr. 2) … ranked second on the team and second in school history in ERA with a 1.41 mark in 44.2 innings, also second in the conference and fourth in the nation (DII) … ranked second on the team among qualified pitchers in batting average against (.213), which also ranked tied for third in the conference … ranked third on the team and 18th in the conference in strikeouts with 51 … dominated with runners on base, holding opposing batters to a .177 batting average … started the season strong, pitching 21 scoreless innings to begin the year along with 25 strikeouts … threw a complete game nine inning game shutout against Bemidji State (Mar. 27), striking out 10 Beavers … threw six innings of one run ball against eventual national champion Augustana, striking out five Vikings … came in as reliever against Minot State in the NSIC Tournament on May 11, pitching four shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out nine batters.
2017: Appeared in eight games for the Golden Bears in a relief role, pitching 15.1 innings … had 1-0 record on the year with a 3.57 ERA … recorded 12 strikeouts on the year … from April 8 to May 5, recorded a 1.11 ERA over 8.1 innings … pitched first inning as a Golden Bear on Mar. 2 against Azusa Pacific, strikeout one while holding the Cougars scoreless … recorded his first CSP win against Winona State May 5 pitching 2.0 innings without allowing a hit.
North St. Paul High School: A three-sport athlete, earning letters for baseball, wrestling and football as well as academics … an All-Metro East Conference performer in all three sports, earning honorable mention as captain of the baseball team … helped Polar Bear baseball team to 18-3 record prior to playoffs and a Metro East Co-Conference championship … as a legion player, compiled a 6-2 record, 1.66 ERA, 1.12 WHIP in 59 innings, striking out 54 on just 37 hits … at the plate in legion, hit .406/.447/.493 for a .940 OPS in 69 at bats including six doubles, six walks to just seven strikeouts with 20 RBI and 21 runs … also a two-time MSHSL State Tournament wrestler, two-time MVP, Most Improved, Rookie of the Year, two-time section runner-up and four-time captain of the wrestling team … helped the Polars to a section championship and MSHSL State Tournament appearance in football … a two year member of National Honor Society.
