HUDSON, Wis. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team wrapped up the CSP/MSU Fall Brawl on Tuesday afternoon with a first place finish after carding a collective 299 (+15) in the final round of play. The Golden Bears put together a two round score of 622 (+54) to finish three strokes ahead of second place UW-Stout.
CSP's second round score of 299 (+15) is the sixth lowest team round in program history, beating out the single round score of 303 (+19) at the 2025 Jewel Invitational. It is the Golden Bears lowest single round score on par 71 course, while also marking the third time a CSP squad has finished with a sub-300 single round total.
Junior Ella Matzke and sophomore Addi Wood paced the Golden Bears throughout the tournament and finished in a tie atop the individual leaderboard after shooting identical scores of 149 (+8) through 36 holes.
Matzke used a 72 (+1) to surge four spots on day two and move into a tie with Wood for first place. Her second round score was ultimately the tie breaker, beating out Wood's final round score of 74 (+3) to give her the individual title.
For Matzke the finish marks a new 36 hole career low, besting her previous low of 156 (+12) at both the 2025 and 2026 Wildcat Classics. It is also the second top five finish of her career and her first win with her other top five finish being third place at the 2025 Wildcat Classic.
Additionally Matzke's second round score of 72 is a new single round best, beating out her previous low mark of 74. The junior dropped just two shots in the final round, mixing in one birdie to go along with 15 pars, leading all golfers with 27 pars across both rounds.
With her first place finish Addi Wood now has nine career top five finishes and three first place finishes, while coming away with individual medalist honors once. The sophomore was consistent throughout the final round with one birdie and a total of 12 pars, including a stretch of 10 holes where she managed par or better, finishing with a total of 23 pars across both rounds.
Freshman Lexi O'Donnell put together a 75 (+4) second round for a 36 hole total of 157 (+16), moving up 16 spots on the final day to finish in a tie for 11th place. O'Donnell birdied twice in round two, while managing par on 12 holes.
Mila Jenniges put together a second round surge as well, carding a 78 (+7) in round two to shoot a 163 (+22) for the tournament, finishing in 29th place. Jenniges birdied three times in round two, while making par on seven holes.
Maddy Vang rounded out the CSP five with a second round score of 89 (+18) to card a 178 (+37) for the tournament. Addy Timm competed independently, shooting a 90 (+19) in the final round to card a 174 (+33) for the tournament.
The Golden Bears return to action next week for the Jewel Invitational at the Jewel in Lake City, Minnesota. Round one gets underway, Monday, September 21.
