CSP track and field set for busy week

Golden Bears to compete in five meets in final tune-up before the NSIC Championships

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul track and field team will compete at a total of five meets this week in the final tune-up ahead of next weekend's NSIC Outdoor Championships.

On Wednesday, the Golden Bears will compete at the Joe Sweeney Invitational, hosted by the University of St. Thomas, and the Todd Pfingsten Open, hosted by Minnesota State.

On Friday, select Golden Bear throwers will compete at both the Meet of the UnSaintly, hosted by Hamline University, and the Badger Challenge, hosted by the University of Wisconsin.

Finally, the Golden Bears will wrap up the busy week on Saturday with a larger group competing at the Tim Marshall Open hosted by Minnesota State.

JOE SWEENEY INVITE INFORMATION
The Joe Sweeney Invitational will be hosted by the University of St. Thomas at O'Shaughnessy Stadium in St. Paul on Wednesday, April 29. Both field and track events are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. The men's and women's hammer throw will be held off-site at the University of Minnesota beginning at 9 a.m. Live results can be found here, while a live stream can be found on Midco Sports Plus (subscription required).

TODD PFINGSTEN OPEN INFORMATION
The Todd Pfingsten Open will be hosted by Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn. on Wednesday, April 29. Golden Bears competing in the meet will consist mostly of multi-event athletes, jumpers, and throwers. Live stats for the meet will be available here, while a free live stream can be found here.

MEET OF THE UNSAINTLY INFORMATION
The Meet of the UnSaintly will be hosted by Hamline University on Friday, May 1. Select Golden Bear throwers will compete in the meet. Live stats can be found here, and a live stream can be found here.

The Tim Marshall Open will be hosted by Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn. on Saturday, May 2. Live stats for the meet will be available here, while a free live stream can be found here.

NSIC LEADERBOARDS
With just a week remaining before the NSIC Outdoor Championships, the Golden Bears currently hold 24 top-10 rankings on the NSIC leaderboards, including 10 top-five rankings. Three Golden Bears also rank in the top 41 on the national leaderboards in four events.
