Ben Rehl (LB),
Percy Robertson (DL) and sophomores

A NOTE ON UNIFORM NUMBERS
With new college football jersey number rules related to special teams, Concordia will have three players potentially wearing multiple numbers throughout the game. Look for #1
Sabastine Weaver (#55), #11
Colin Avery (#53), #18 Canon Raban (#61), #24
Aydin Buchanan (#79) and #27
Avery Favors (#56) to be on the field in the 50s on punt units. Buchanan, primarily a safety, will be in his traditional 24 on defensive plays, while Avery and Favors typically contribute in special teams and are likely to remain in their 50s uniforms unless they are inserted on traditional offensive and defensive packages.
SERIES HISTORY: WSU 22, CSP 4
The Golden Bears have had bursts of success against the Warriors in a series that predates CSP's entry into the NSIC and NCAA DII ranks, with a lone meeting in 1988 before CSP moved to DII in 1999.
Concordia won two of three against WSU from 2003-05, with the wins in 2003 and 2005 earning a share of the NSIC championship split with WSU.
After WSU pulled off seven-straight wins from 2006-12, CSP won back-to-back games over the Warriors in 2013 and 2014.
Concordia enters this weekend looking to snap a nine-game skid against WSU dating back to 2014.
The Golden Bears are 1-9 at home against WSU, have dropped seven-straight at home to the Warriors and haven't won at home since 2003 at Griffin Stadium (23-20, OT). WSU is 6-0 all-time at Sea Foam Stadium (2009-present).
ABOUT THE WINONA STATE WARRIORS
Coming off of a 6-5 overall season, 6-4 NSIC and 3-3 NSIC South Division season in 2025 that had the Warriors tied for fourth in the seven-team NSIC South and tied for sixth in the NSIC overall standings, the Warriors entered 2026 picked fifth in the South Division and ninth in the 2026 NSIC Preseason Coaches Poll.
WSU heads down the stretch in 2026 with a 2-5 overall record, 2-4 in the NSIC and 1-2 in the NSIC South Division.

Winona State has had three of its five losses decided by one score, falling by six to UST along with three-point road losses at Minnesota Duluth (6-9) and Wayne State (14-17). WSU has had a pair of games get away from them, falling 31-16 at Northern State and 34-16 at home to #5 Minnesota State before the bye.
The Warriors scored a shutout win in their home opener over Jamestown and outlasted Augustana 42-41 in overtime at home.
WSU is 2-1 at home and 0-4 on the road, seeking its first road win of the season at a stadium (Sea Foam) where they have never lost in six previous trips.
The Warriors are led by second-year head coach Brian Curtin (8-10) who has been with the WSU football program since 1997.
With an apparent injury to opening day starting QB Jackson Flottmeyer, who passed for 573 yards on 57.9% (62-107) with a 5-2 TD-INT ratio in four games, Jacob Sampson has filled in with 739 yards on 62.5% (75-120) with a 4-2 TD-INT ratio in five games. While only producing six sacks, the Warriors have also only produced four turnovers with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries in seven games.
Individual statistics aside, the Warrior defense excels when it matters the most, ranking seventh in the country with a 26.1 percent third down defense, and hold teams to just 176.1 passing yards per game - fourth-best in the NSIC.
