ST. PAUL, Minn. - This Saturday, Concordia-St. Paul football (3-3, 2-3 NSIC, 0-1 South) returns home to face Augustana (4-2, 3-2 NSIC, 1-1 South) at noon at Sea Foam Stadium.
Concordia football has reached the halfway point of its home schedule, opening the season by winning two of its first three home games in the first four weeks of the season. CSP split its mid-season back-to-back road games and now returns home for three of the next four games starting with Augustana in NSIC South Division play.
WEATHER OUTLOOK
It will be an unseasonably warm Saturday afternoon in St. Paul, with a forecast kickoff high of 81 degrees, moving to 86 by 3 p.m. with sunny conditions. The game will feature strong sustained S 18 mph winds blowing from right to left as the field is viewed from the main grandstand, with gusts into the mid 30 mph range.

Starting with the 2026-27 season, Concordia and the NSIC will call Midco Sports Plus the streaming home for the NSIC Network. Midco Sports Plus, a regional cable provider primarily based in North Dakota, South Dakota and parts of Minnesota, features an expanded variety of online sports coverage.
The NSIC Network will be part of a subscription service with annual access plans starting at under $7 per month for the full year ($79/year) or monthly service for $15 which includes NSIC coverage as well as Summit League.
Concordia's broadcasts will continue to feature multiple cameras with instant replay along with commentary from St. Paul-native
Dan Flanagan, a graduate of Fordham University (N.Y.) where he covered multiple NCAA Division I sports teams on campus for the Rams including football and basketball in the Patriot League. Flanagan has been the broadcast voice of the Golden Bears for nearly 20 years and called multiple national, regional and conference championships.

Joshua Schumacher is back on the Twin Cities airwaves for an eighth season, once again hosted by Wally Langfellow of Minnesota Score. The show airs following the Minnesota high school football game of the week, typically on Friday evenings in the 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. hour on KYCR 1440 AM radio, available in the Twin Cities metro area.

SERIES HISTORY: AUGIE 16, CSP 4
Concordia enters Saturday aiming to snap a nine-game losing streak to the Vikings, last defeating Augustana 17-7 at Sea Foam Stadium in 2014. CSP has dropped four in a row at home to Augie.
Two of the last five meetings have been decided by one score or less, with CSP falling 24-16 in 2023 at Sea Foam Stadium and falling 21-20 in 2019 in Sioux Falls.
Concordia is 2-8 at home against Augustana with a 1-6 mark in games played at Sea Foam Stadium.
The Golden Bears were 3-1 against Augustana prior to the Vikings joining the Northern Sun in 2008. CSP and Augie met each year in non-conference play between 2004 adn 2007 with Concordia holding the upper-hand when the Vikings were members of the now-defunct North Central Conference (NCC).
ABOUT THE AUGUSTANA VIKINGS
Augustana has spent multiple weeks in the AFCA Division II Top-25 this season and currently sits 4-2 overall, 3-2 NSIC and 1-1 South.
The Vikings were picked third overall and second in the south in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll, going 9-2 overall last season with an 8-2 NSIC record to finish second in the league overall, and 4-2 in the South Division to finish third in the division.
This year's Vikings squad has surrendered at least 20 points in all six games, opening the year with a 63-58 slugfest at Missouri Western in a big non-conference win. Augie is also coming off of a big win, topping crosstown rival Sioux Falls 37-20 in the Key to the City game. While Augie is allowing 34.0 points per game - last in the NSIC, the Vikings are also scoring at will, putting up a league-leading 41.2 points, 13th-best in the country behind 484.0 yards of total offense (9th DII). The offense is powered by 365.8 passing yards per game, third-most in the country.
Gunnar Hensley quarterbacks the Vikings, leading the nation with 2,195 passing yards with the second-most TD passes (18) in the nation. It's not just short-game work, either, he's 21st in the land with 14.7 yards per completion and boasts the 17th-best efficiency (163.7) which leads the NSIC. He's completing 24.8 passes per game, fifth in the country, and 63.4 percent of his passes, 35th in the nation.
His top target is DJ Page, fourth in the country with 643 yards with the second-most catches (49). He's joined by Klayton Sattler (528) and Cody Oswald (449) as the Vikings have three of the top-26 receivers in DII, with Sattler's eight TDs ranking second in the country.
The run game is also active with Breylon Blount ranking 10th in the country with 603 rushing yards at 5.9 per carry with five TDs.
Viking kicker Jake Pecina is third in the nation with 10 field goals made and is second in the NSIC at a 76.9 FG percentage.
