MIAMI, Fla. - The Concordia-St. Paul women's swimming and diving team opened 2026 with an impressive third-place finish at the FIU Sprint Invite, competing against a strong field of NCAA Division I institutions at the Doral Aquatic Center on the campus of Florida International University.
The Golden Bears were led by another standout performance from junior Sophie Leo who tallied two top-two placements in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle finishing with the highest placements of the meet.
Lilly Adams and Chloe Rihon both recorded fifth place finishes to wrap-up the top-five placements for the Navy and Gold.
On the diving side, Chloe Jones was the leader on the board with a 16th place finish in the 3-meter dive and 18th place finish in the 1-meter dive against a stacked diving competition.
As a team, CSP notched 22 top-10 finishes for their highest-placement to date at the FIU Sprint Invite after finishing in fourth last season.
The Golden Bears will return to the pool on Jan. 16 where they will head to West Fargo, N.D. to participate in the Dragon Invite hosted by MSU Moorhead.
