MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - The Concordia-St. Paul women's swimming and diving team fell in a tight battle to the Marauders of UMary 149.5-144.5 in a dual on Saturday afternoon at the Two Rivers Aquatic Center.
Six seniors were honored at the meet for their contributions to the program including, Emma Granovsky, Sophie Leo, Caitlyn Greenwalt, Giulia Cury, Chloe Rihon and Silvana Jacquez.
To no surprise it was Sophie Leo that led the Navy and Gold, tallying three top-finishes to extend her season win total to 15. She found herself on the top of the podium in the 50-yard free, 100-yard free and the 50-yard backstroke.
Chloe Rihon kept her win streak going with a first-place finish in the 400-yard IM, finishing with a time of 4:43.95. Rihon is now up to six wins this season.
On the diving board, sophomore Mina Dahl was the star of the show, finishing first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives for her first sweep of her collegiate career.
As a team, Concordia tallied 49 top-five placements and will look to keep their momentum going as they look towards their final training sessions and post-season action.
The divers will head to St. Cloud, Minn. next weekend for the SCSU Diving Invite on Saturday, Jan. 31. The swimmers will get the weekend off and will prepare to return to the pool for the NSIC Championships in West Fargo, N.D. starting on Feb. 11.
