Golden Bear women have four selected to CSC Academic All-District squad

Chan, Lavendusky, Tanner, and Thelen each earn selections

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Concordia-St. Paul women's track & field and cross country teams had four student-athletes named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams, it was announced on Tuesday. The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom.
 
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The Women's Track and Field/XC first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on July 15.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. 
 

Nyadio Chan (Sprints/Mid Distance/Cross Country, 5-10, Jr., Ames, Iowa / Ames HS)
  • 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District
  • 2023-24 CSC Academic All-District
  • Four-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence
  • Set the school record in the indoor 800m (2:13.27)
  • Set the school record in the outdoor 800m (2:17.86)
  • 2024 All-NSIC in the 4x400m Relay
  • Ranked 26th in the region in the indoor 800m
  • Ranked 21st in the region in the outdoor 800m

Maya Lavendusky (Throws, 5-6, Jr., Portage, Ind./Portage HS)
  • 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District
  • Four-time NSIC All-Academic
  • All-NSIC in the indoor shot put
  • Set the school record in the outdoor shot put (45' 1.5")
  • Finished third in the shot put at the NSIC Indoor Championships
  • Ranked 13th in the region in the indoor shot put
  • Ranked 13th in the region in the outdoor shot put

Cadence Tanner (Sprints/Jumps, So., 5-4, Minneapolis, Minn./Hope Academy)
  • 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District
  • NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence
  • All-NSIC in the outdoor high jump
  • Broke the school record in the outdoor long jump (19' 3.25")
  • Ranked ninth in the region in the outdoor high jump
  • Ranked 19th in the region in the outdoor long jump
  • Ranked 18th in the region in the indoor long jump
  • Ranked 24th in the region in the indoor high jump
  • Ranked 31st in the region in the indoor 60m hurdles

 Kelsey Thelen (Mid/Long Distance/Cross Country, 5-9, Sr., Farmington, Minn. / Farmington HS)
