Six Golden Bears earn All-NSIC soccer honors

Abruzzo, Haase, Nelson, Pettit, Potter and Snapko earn honors

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2025 Soccer All-Conference Teams and Concordia-St. Paul's Sophia Haase, Brooke Nelson, Sydney Potter and Clare Snapko were named to the First Team and Belle Abruzzo and Lexi Pettit were named to the Second Team. 

Haaase, Potter and Snapko all repeat as selections after earning their first appearance on the All-NSIC list last season while Abruzzo and Pettit earn their first selections.

Nelson becomes the first freshman to make the First-Team since Lindsay Hartleben in 2002 and Lisa Harfield in 2000, making her the third student-athlete to do so. 

For the seventh year in a row, the Navy and Gold have student-athletes selected to the First-Team and for the sixth year have selections on the Second Team. With the six total selections this year the Golden Bears have now had 76 All-NSIC performers in program-history.

#17 Sophia Haase (MF, 5-6, Jr., Monticello, Minn. / Monticello HS)

  • Two -time All-NSIC First-Team 

  • CSC Academic All-America Third Team 

  • D2CCA All-Central Region First Team 

  • CSC Academic All-District

  • NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence 

  • NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (10/13/25)

  • Tallied six game-winning goals, ranks fifth in NCAA Division II

  • Leads NSIC with 81 shots and 45 shots on goal

  • Her 2.37 shots on goal per game ranks eight in NCAA Division II

#28 Brooke Nelson (MF, 5-9, Fr., Waunakee, Wis. / Waunakee Community HS)

  • All-NSIC First Team 

  • NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (10/6/25)

  • Ranks second on the team in points with 12

  • Tallied 37 shots with 24 shots on goal

  • Ranks T-7th in the NSIC with five goals

  • Ranks Top-20 in the NSIC in points

#99 Sydney Potter (GK, 5-7, Jr., South St. Paul, Minn. / Two Rivers HS)

  • Two-time All-NSIC First Team 

  • D2CCA All-America Second Team 

  • D2CCA All-Central Region First Team 

  • 2024 NSIC All-Tournament Team 

  • 2024 NSIC Goalkeeper of the Year

  • Three-time NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week 

  • NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence

  • Tallied seven shutouts and 42 saves

  • Total saves and GAA rank top-five in the NSIC

  • Recorded 16 games with 14 starts.

#27 Clare Snapko (MF/D, 5-5, Sr., New Hope, Minn. / Robbinsdale Cooper HS)

  • 2025 All-NSIC First Team

  • 2024 All-NSIC Second Team

  • CSC Academic All-District

  • Two-time All-Academic Team of Excellence 

  • Three-time NSIC Defensive Player of the Week 

  • Tallied a team-high 1599 minutes on the pitch

  • Led team defenders with seven points

  • Recorded 15 shots with five shots on goal


ALL-NSIC SECOND TEAM
#24 Belle Abruzzo (D, 5-10, Sr., Eagan, Minn. / Eastview HS)

  • All-NSIC Second Team 

  • Started in 18 games tallying four points

  • Tallied a game-winning goal against Minot State (9/7/25)

  • Ranks T-3rd on the team in assists with three

  • Held a defense that allowed just 10 goals and recorded 10 shutouts

#8 Lexi Pettit (MF, 5-10, Jr., Mount Pleasant, Wis. / Union Grove HS)

  • All-NSIC Second Team 

  • Tallied a team-leading four assists

  • Her assists rank T-4th in the NSIC

  • Recorded a career-high eight points

  • Scored a game-winning goal at Northern State (9/21/25)
