ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia-St. Paul swimming and diving team will hit the road this weekend to face the Mavericks of Minnesota State and Tommies of St. Thomas in a double-dual on Saturday.
Action will start with the divers at 10 a.m. before the swimmers jump in at 2 p.m. at the Highland Pool in Mankato, Minn.
LAST TIME OUT
Split Double-Header with MSU & SMSU
Junior Sophie Leo continued her star-studded season, taking two first-place finishes and a runner-up spot. She earned her 24th and 25th collegiate wins in the double-dual.
Silvana Jacquez saw her best meet of the season, taking second place in the 200-yard butterfly and fifth in the 200-yard backstroke to leave her impact on the score.
On the diving board, Chloe Jones continued her successful season. Finishing second in the 1-meter dive and third in the 3-meter dive. Her score of 207.35 in the 3-meter dive marked a personal best for the sophomore.
The Golden Bears notched 17 top-five finishes and 45 top-10 placements to record a season-high number of placements.
SOPHIE SURGES AHEAD
Junior Sophie Leo has been leading the charge for the Golden Bears this season, she has accumulated seven first-place finishes and has been a mainstay in the pool.
Leo has garnered two NSIC Swimmer of the Week awards and looks to make a mark every meet.
With her seven first-place finishes she has now recorded 25 collegiate wins in the Navy and Gold.
HISTORY AGAINST MSU
The two programs have met a total of seven times in duals dating back to October 15, 2021. MSU holds a 7-0 all-time record.
The two teams met just two weeks ago where the Mavericks topped the Golden Bears in dominant fashion after a strong meet.
Last season, MSU went 2-0 against the Navy and Gold in both dual opportunities.
ABOUT THE MAVERICKS
MSU was picked to finish first in the 2025-25 NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll with 77 points and six first-place votes after finishing second at the 2024-25 NSIC Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Mavericks currently sit at 2-1 in duals this season after sweeping CSP and SMSU in their most recent duals.
HISTORY AGAINST UST
The two programs have met a total of two times dating back to January 20, 2024. UST is 2-0 all-time against the Golden Bears.
Last season, UST came out victorious against CSP in a dual hosted by the Tommies.
ABOUT THE TOMMIES
UST was picked to finish fourth in the 2025-25 Summit League Coaches' Preseason Poll with 16 points after finishing fourth at the 2024-25 Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Tommies currently sit at 1-1 in duals after falling to Omaha in their last time out.
