Golden Bears have eight CSC Academic All-District® selections

Enke and Carver advance to CSC Academic All-America® ballot

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Concordia-St. Paul football had eight student-athletes represented on the 2024 Academic All-District Teams® as selected by members of College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).
 
Of the eight, seniors Jac Carver and Drew Enke have advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot, to be voted on by members of College Sports Communicators in January.
 
The group also features repeat honorees: Carver, an offensive lineman, along with punter Parker Dahlman and linebacker Brayden Hilgemann become three-time selections. Meanwhile, Enke, a wide receiver, and linebacker Richard Wauer become two-time selections.
 
The five repeat standout student-athletes are joined by first-time recipients tight end Russell Corrigan, along with linebackers Ben Rehl and Caden Baarts.
 
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore athletically and academically, and be a significant contributor or starter with certain games played and games started thresholds to reach for consideration.
 

#72 Jac Carver (OL, 6-6, 310, Sr., Delano, Minn. / Wayzata HS)
  • Three-time CSC Academic All-District Team (2022, 2023, 2024)
  • 2024 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence
  • Two-time NSIC All-Academic Team (2022, 2023)
  • Played and started 10 games at offensive guard
  • Did not allow a sack and only issued four QB hits on the season
  • Produced a 94 percent season assignment grade
  • Held at least a 90 percent grade in all 10 games
  • Had a season-high 98 percent against Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State
  • Also had a 97 percent grade against MSU Moorhead
  • Had a pair of 96 percent grades against SMSU and Northern State
  • Blocked for NSIC rushing title running back Jaylin Richardson
  • CSP offensive line allowed league-best 3.91 TFLs per game, ranking ninth in Division II
  • CSP OL ranked second in the NSIC and 25th in the nation with 1.18 sacks per game 


#11 Drew Enke (WR, 6-3, 205, Sr., Clear Lake, Iowa / Clear Lake HS / Northern Iowa)
  • 2024 All-NSIC Second Team
  • Two-time CSC Academic All-District Team (2023, 2024)
  • Two-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence (2023, 2024)
  • Played in 33 games in three seasons for CSP
  • Increased receptions (25, 28, 38) and receiving yards (358, 425, 550) each season
  • Had career-highs as a senior with 38 catches for 550 yards and three TDs
  • Had a pair of 100-yard performances in 2024 and three career 100-yard games
  • Had six catches for 114 yards and a 50-yard TD against SMSU
  • Had seven catches for 111 yards and two TDs including a 39-yard score against MSU Moorhead
  • Ranked 14th in the NSIC with 550 receiving yards and 15th with 3.5 receptions per game
  • Produced 91 career receptions for 1,333 yards and five TDs as a Golden Bear in 33 games 


#13 Caden Baarts (LB, 6-3, 230, Jr., Fairmont, Minn. / HS)
  • 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team
  • 2024 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence
  • Two-time NSIC All-Academic Team (2022, 2023)
  • Registered a career-high 49 tackles including 2.0 TFLs, one PBU and one QB hurry in 2024
  • Finished third on the team in tackles while playing in all 11 contests
  • As a Golden Bear, has persisted through injuries during his career while competing in 30 contests across four seasons
  • Had 91 career tackles, 5.0 TFLs and three PBUs
  • Had a career-high 1.5 TFLs in a road win at UMary
  • Had season-highs of seven tackles twice: against Minnesota State and Minnesota Duluth
  • Had at least two tackles in every game in 2024
  • Made four or more tackles in eight games including four in a row to end the season 


#40 Russell Corrigan (TE, 6-3, 245, So., Hutchinson, Minn. / HS / Boise State)
  • 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team
  • 2024 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence
  • Played in all 11 games, registering six catches for 12 yards and adding a 12-yard kickoff return
  • Key physical blocker in a run-heavy offense, blocking for NSIC rushing title running back Jaylin Richardson
  • Part of a blocking unit that allowed a league-low 3.91 TFLs per game, ranking ninth in Division II
  • When not on a route, part of a protection unit that ranked second in the NSIC and 25th in the nation with 1.18 sacks allowed per game
  • Had first reception as a Golden Bear against Winona State for six yards in week two
  • Had first multi-catch game against Minnesota State in week four with a long of seven and a season-high 18 all-purpose yards 


#32 Parker Dahlman (P, 6-6, 250, Sr., Blaine, Minn. / HS)
  • Three-time CSC Academic All-District Team (2022, 2023, 2024)
  • Three-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence (2022, 2023, 2024)
  • 2023-24 NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction award
  • Fifth-ranked punter in NSIC by average (41.5)
  • Fourth-most 50-plus yard punts (7) despite fourth fewest total punts (38)
  • Forced 11 fair catches and nine punts inside the 20 with only three touchbacks
  • Led the second-ranked net punting unit in the NSIC at 37.97 yards, 23rd-best in the country
  • Holds CSP career punting average record (40.8)
  • Set CSP single-season punting average record as a junior in 2023 (43.7)
  • Four-year punter, played in all 44 contests with 199 punts for 8,121 yards as a Golden Bear 


#4 Brayden Hilgemann (LB, 6-3, 225, Sr., Marshall, Minn. / HS)
  • Three-time CSC Academic All-District Team (2022, 2023, 2024)
  • Three-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence (2022, 2023, 2024)
  • 2023-24 NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction award
  • Led CSP with 68 tackles, ranking 14th in the NSIC
  • Played in all 11 games, adding 3.0 TFLs, one INT, one forced fumble and a QB hurry
  • Had at least three tackles in 10 of 11 games
  • Made six or more tackles in six games with a pair of double-digit tackle performances
  • Had a career-high 14 tackles, 1.0 for loss against Northern State
  • Had 11 tackles in career finale at Wayne State
  • Played in 39 career games with 165 tackles, 9.0 TFLs, 1.5 sacks, three INTs, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery 


#35 Ben Rehl (LB, 6-1, 218, So., Mukwonago, Wis. / HS)
  • 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team
  • 2024 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence
  • Finished the season ranked sixth on the team with 41 total tackles
  • Played in 10 games, registered 2.5 TFLs, a sack, two INTs, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup
  • Had at least a tackle in nine of 10 games
  • Made three or more tackles in six games
  • Had a season-high nine tackles, 1.5 TFLs and a sack against Winona State
  • Had eight tackles in the season finale at Wayne State
  • Had seven tackles against Minnesota State
  • In two seasons, has played in 21 games with 101 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, three sacks and two INTs 


#26 Richard Wauer (LB, 6-1, 230, Jr., Muskego, Wis. / HS)
  • Two-time CSC All-Academic Team (2023, 2024)
  • Two-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence (2023, 2024)
  • 2023-24 NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction award
  • Named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week in week three at SMSU
  • In win over SMSU, held Mustangs to 106 rushing on 3.0 per carry, 2-12 on 3rd down with 13 tackles (10 solo)
  • Ranked second on the team and 16th in the NSIC with 64 total tackles
  • In 11 games, also had 3.0 TFLs and an interception
  • Made at least two tackles in 10 of 11 games on the season
  • Had at least six tackles in eight games
  • Had a season-high 1.5 TFLs in season opener at Upper Iowa, adding six total tackles
  • In 32 career games played, has 154 total tackles, 7.0 TFLs, an interception and a fumble recovery
