CSP swim and dive set to conclude regular season with home dual against St. Kate’s

Saturday’s dual will also mark Senior Day

ST. PAUL, Minn. -  The Concordia-St. Paul swimming and diving team is set to conclude the regular season with a home dual against St. Kate's this Saturday at the Two Rivers Aquatic Center in Mendota Heights, Minn. Action is set to begin at 12 p.m.

The Golden Bears will host their second ever Senior Day honoring Farida Maher and Charly Horn who have led the CSP swim and dive program to new heights and leave behind a wall full of school records.

The Golden Bears finished the invite with a program best 890.5 points at the Dragon Invite, finishing exactly 10 points higher than last season's 880.5 second place finish. 

The Navy and Gold finished the Dragon Invite with 50 top-10 finishes and 10 first-place finishes to tally a season best. 

Diver Caitlyn Greenwalt shined for the Golden Bears, finishing first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives to bring her season total to 11 wins. Greenwalt also broke the school record in both the 1-meter in both six dives and 11 dives.

Greenwalt's two school records also solidified her for two NCAA provisional cuts in the respective dives while also earning a NCAA provisional cut in the 3-meter 11 dive. 

On the swimming side, Chloe Rihon broke a school record of her own in the 100 IM with a time of 1:00:30 to take a first-place finish. Rihon took home not just one but three first-place finishes to mark a season-high. 

Sophie Leo had a strong day two finishing with three first place finishes to bring her season total to nine wins. 

HISTORY AGAINST ST. KATE'S
The two programs have met a total of two times in duals dating back to December 11, 2021. St. Kate's holds a 2-0 all-time advantage over CSP in duals. Last season, the Wildcats topped the Golden Bears 175-101 marking a 59-point increased score for Concordia than the previous meeting. 

This season, the two programs have faced once in the regular season at the WildBear invite where CSP finished in second place with 852 points and St. Kate's finished in fifth place with 513 points. 

ABOUT THE WILDCATS
St. Kate's swims in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (DIII) and finished second at the MIAC Championships in the 2023-24 season. 

The Wildcats currently sit at 2-3 in duals this season and are coming off a seventh place finish at the Grinnell Invite.
