WEST FARGO, N.D. - The Concordia-St. Paul swimming and diving team finished with a strong second place at the Dragon Invite hosted by MSU Moorhead at the Hulbert Aquatic Center in West Fargo, N.D. on Saturday evening.
Following the conclusion of the Dragon Invite, head coach Rachel Busch stated, "We had a strong meet this weekend from both our divers and swimmers. We did a lot of racing in the span of 24 hours and our coaching staff is proud of the team's perseverance and second-place finish."
The Golden Bears finished the invite with a program best 890.5 points at the Dragon Invite, finishing exactly 10 points higher than last season's 880.5 second place finish.
Day two of the Dragon invite included the Navy and Gold finishing with a season-high 33 top-10 finishes including eight first-place finishes.
Diver Caitlyn Greenwalt shined for the Golden Bears, finishing first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives to bring her season total to 11 wins. Greenwalt also broke the school record in both the 1-meter in both six dives and 11 dives.
Greenwalt's two school records also solidified her for two NCAA provisional cuts in the respective dives while also earning a NCAA provisional cut in the 3-meter 11 dive.
On the swimming side, Chloe Rihon broke a school record of her own in the 100 IM with a time of 1:00:30 to take a first-place finish. Rihon took home not just one but three first-place finishes to mark a season-high.
Sophie Leo had a strong day two finishing with three first place finishes to bring her season total to nine wins.
The Golden Bears will return to action to wrap-up their regular season and honor their seniors on Jan. 25 hosting the Wildcats of St. Catherine's in a dual at the Two Rivers Aquatic Center in Mendota Heights, Minn.
