MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Concordia-St. Paul track and field teams opened up the week on Wednesday with 13 top-10 finishes and five top-five finishes at the Gary Wilson Invite while Calder Erick sits in seventh in the decathlon after day one at the Drake Relays.

Arika Harbo had a strong outing at the Gary Wilson Invite on the campus of the University of Minnesota as she won the high jump and took fourth 100m hurdles. Harbo cleared 5' 8.75" to take the top spot in the high jump while she wrapped up the 100m hurdles in 14.34. Cadence Tanner joined her in the top five in the high jump as she took third with a mark of 5' 3.25" while Tanner also took 10th in the 100m hurdles.

On the men's side, Drake Daniels eclipsed his own school record in the 110m hurdles as he cruised to a finish of 14.42 seconds in the final to take seventh.

Tyce Smith grabbed fifth in the 100m with a time of 10.73 seconds while Tarnue David followed close behind in sixth at 10.82 seconds.

Arik Nikolas provided a fifth-place finish of his own in the long jump, clearing 21' 5.25" while Cullen Feist and Cade Feist took seventh in the javelin and shot put, respectively.

At the Drake Relays, Calder Erick grabbed 3429 points through the first five events of the decathlon. His top result came in the 400m as he took third with a time of 49.80 seconds while he added a fifth-place result with a time of 11.18 seconds in the 100m. Erick will resume competition tomorrow morning.

The rest of the competing athletes will compete either at the Drake Relays on Thursday-Saturday or at the Kip Janvrin Open on Friday to wrap up a busy week.
