Richardson earns D2CCA All-Super Region 4 honors

The senior running back is CSP’s first D2CCA All-Region selection since 2019

GOLDEN, Colo. – The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) has announced the 2024 D2CCA All-Super Region 4 football teams, with Concordia-St. Paul senior running back Jaylin Richardson being honored as a second team selection.
 
The teams are nominated and voted on by College Sports Communicators (CSC) from 33 football-playing institutions representing NCAA Division II's Super Region 4, including the following conferences: Northern Sun (NSIC), Lone Star (LSC) and Rocky Mountain (RMAC).
 
The D2CCA All-Super Region 4 teams include two running backs to the first team, and two to the second team. He is the first running back in school history to be named to a D2CCA All-Region team. Prior to CSC's name change, the award was nominated and voted on by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was previously sponsored by and named for Daktronics.
 
The last Golden Bear to be named to a D2CCA All-Region Team was in 2019, when CSP had defensive end Chris Garrett named to the First Team and offensive guard Rich Kelly named to the Second Team.

  • Scored a TD in eight-straight games (week 3-10)

  • Scored three TDs with 143 rushing and 21 receiving yards against Northern State
  • Rushed for career-high 198 yards on 36 carries, adding 1-30 receiving for career-high 228 all-purpose yards and two TDs against MSU Moorhead
