Haase named CSC Academic All-American

Just the fifth player in program history to receive the honor

AUSTIN, Texas. - The College Sports Communicators announced the 2024 NCAA Division II CSC Academic All-America teams and Concordia-St. Paul sophomore Sophia Haase was named to the Third-Team. 

Haase becomes just the second Golden Bear to be named to the Third Team with Tori Miller becoming the first last season. She also is just the fifth player in program history to be named to any of the three teams. 

Katie Anderson was named to the First Team last season along with Hannah Pavek (2019) and Lindsay Hartleben (2005) on the Second Team to bring the program total to five all-time. 

Haase joins the Third Team after finishing her 2024 season collecting 21 points with eight goals and five assists while holding a perfect 4.0 GPA in exercise science. 

Rockhurst University's Anna Lantz, a forward from Parker, Colo. was named the NCAA Division II CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the Year after collecting 13 goals and six assists during the 2024 season while holding a 4.0 in Molecular Biology. 

11 of the 34 members of the Academic All-America Division II women's soccer teams hold a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 12 members of the third team have an average GPA of 3.97.

The Division II Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America program.
